WhatsApp Archiving

If you're a WhatsApp user, there's a good chance that you have some important messages in the app. And if the day comes when you want to access those messages again, it can be difficult. Not only are they not organized by date or sender like a traditional email client would organize them (or even by contact), but they're also not saved in any kind of database format that makes it easy to retrieve them from your phone. Luckily, there is a way to export your WhatsApp to email

How Do You Export WhatsApp Messages to Email?

If you are a WhatsApp user and want to save your chat data for future use, then this article will help you understand how to export messages from WhatsApp. The process is simple and involves just a few steps:

  • Open the app on your phone or tablet and tap on "More" in the top right corner of your screen. Then choose Settings from the list of options that appear.
  • Scroll down until you see "Chat History" under Privacy and Security settings and tap on it once again so that more options become visible below this section (like Delete All Chat Data).
  • Select 'Delete Everything' if necessary (don't worry--it won't delete any of your contacts!) 4) Tap on 'OK' when asked whether or not this action should be taken immediately or deferred until later 5) Select either Deleted Messages Only or Both Deleted Messages & Saved Chats

Step1: Download and Install the App

To get started, download and install the latest version of WhatsApp on your device. If you're using a computer, make sure that you have access to the web version of WhatsApp before proceeding (this can be done by clicking here).

If you are on a mobile device, follow these steps:

  • Open up Google Play or Apple App Store on your phone or tablet and search "WhatsApp" in their respective search bars (if this does not work for whatever reason, go ahead with step 2).
  • Once installed, open up the app and sign in using your phone number or email address (we recommend choosing "sign up" instead of "sign in," since this is usually faster). After signing up/in successfully--and if everything went according to plan--you should now see something similar to this image below!

Step2: Export Your WhatsApp Messages to a .txt File

If you have a Windows PC and can't find the file, try this:

  • Open your web browser and go to [https://www.whatsapp.com/].
  • Click on the three dots next to "New chat" in the top right corner of your screen and select Settings from the drop-down menu that appears.
  • Under "Account", click on Chats > Chat History > Export Chat Data. You should see a button titled "Export Chat History." Click it! A popup will appear asking which file format you want to save as; choose "Text (.txt)". Click Save when done!

Step3: Import the .txt File into Gmail

Now that you have your WhatsApp chats in a .txt file, it's time to import them into Gmail. To do this,b open up the email app on your Android phone and tap on "Compose." Then type in [email protected] (or whatever email address you want) into the To field and hit send.

The next step is to open up that email on your computer or laptop and click on "Download." This will download an .eml file which is basically just another type of text document. Once downloaded onto your computer's hard drive, open up this new file with any text editor software like Notepad++ or TextEdit (Mac).

You should now see all of your chats saved as plain text!

Conclusion

Export WhatsApp Messages to Email is a simple and convenient way to save your WhatsApp conversations. It allows you to export all your messages in one go without having to worry about losing them or keeping track of them separately. This method is also great if you want to keep a copy of all your chats on another device so that if anything happens with the original phone or computer where they were originally stored,
